Making CCS a Global Charging Standard

In collaboration with CharIN and its members, dSPACE will drive forward the development and establishment of the Combined Charging System (CCS) as a global standard for charging battery-powered vehicles.

Fast, easy-to-use, and reliable charging systems are key components of electric mobility. The development of the CCS as an open and recognized high-performance standard is therefore making a decisive contribution to the success of electric mobility. As an active member of CharIN e.V. dSPACE contributes  know-how to the development of new requirements and specifications and can continue to make the dSPACE solutions fit for the validation of future charging station interfaces. 

dSPACE takes a comprehensive approach to e-mobility, from power generation to the powertrain, and was one of the first to offer a portfolio of development and test solutions. dSPACE covers the entire charging communication process and is ready to support the development of technology for the connection to and feedback into the power grid with suitable test tools.

Plug & Charge Feature

The dSPACE products also support the Plug & Charge feature according to CharIN requirements. dSPACE is actively involved in establishing the Plug & Charge feature in the market, for example, by providing customers with a suitable test environment.
