Successor
For new projects we recommend that you use the new software based EtherCAT stack. The corresponding ConfigurationDesk EtherCAT master I/O-function features bus cycle times lower than 250 µs and acyclic communication with CAN application protocol over EtherCAT (CoE). Furthermore, the EtherCAT master stack can use any available Ethernet port.
If you have any questions or need more information, your contact in the dSPACE sales team will be glad to help.
Migration Information
Starting with dSPACE Release 2019-A you can migrate to the new software based EtherCAT stack. It is contained in the SCALEXIO Fieldbus Solution software but requires a separate license. Additionally, a free Ethernet port is needed in your SCALEXIO system.
