End-of-life announcement SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P01 (XEON® E5-2640v3, 8 cores, 2.6 GHz)

The end of life of SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P01 (XEON® E5-2640v3, 8 cores, 2.6 GHz) is planned for December 2026.

The discontinuation (Last-time buy) for this Processing Unit was originally planned for the end of December 2022. Unfortunately, due to expired availability of hardware components and high customer demand, we have to announce that we are already out-of-stock.

End-of-Life Information

The end-of-life of the SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P01 (XEON® E5-2640v3, 8 cores, 2.6 GHz) is planned for December 31, 2027. As of this date, no services of any kind will be available for this product. We advise against using SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P01 in new projects. You can still buy the product until June 30, 2022. New releases of dSPACE software are guaranteed to continue supporting SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P01 until at least the end of 2026. The new version of the SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P02 (XEON® 6208U, 16 cores, 2.9 GHz) is available since 2020.

Successor

For new projects we recommend that you use the latest version of the SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P02 equipped with an Intel XEON® 6208U with 16 cores at 2.9 GHz processor. The SCALEXIO Processing Unit HPP P02 provides improved performance and the double number of CPU cores to enable more realistic HIL testing. Note that the successor requires a dSPACE Software Release 2020-B or newer, which is compatible with MATLAB R2019a (64-bit) or newer.
