You can now build a VEOS offline simulation application entirely on Linux: The VEOS Build Console on Linux lets you build any model container type.
dSPACE has now received ISO 26262 certification for VEOS: The TÜV SÜD testing organization confirms that VEOS can be used in safety-relevant development projects according to ISO 26262:2018 for all Automotive Safety Integrity Levels (ASIL). The certification allows customers to exempt VEOS from the qualification of their overall processes according to ISO 26262, and use VEOS in safety-critical projects without further effort.
VEOS now supports simulation of service-oriented communication in SOME/IP (scalable service-oriented middleware over IP) networks of virtual ECUs (V‑ECUs). SOME/IP and service-oriented communication play an important role in advanced driver assistance systems and automated driving, which are the domain of adaptive V‑ECUs. Ethernet bus simulation is therefore especially useful for testing this V‑ECU type. You can create the bus simulation container (BSC) files required to perform Ethernet bus simulation with the dSPACE Ethernet Configuration Package.
