Paderborn, June 5, 2018: dSPACE is one of the first embedded software development tool providers to support comprehensive functionality for the development and validation of some of the latest AUTOSAR 4.3 features in its products. Technologies that have posed a challenge for many developers, such as secure onboard communication (SecOC), global time synchronization (GTS), and enhanced end-to-end (E2E) protection, can now be developed and tested directly with dSPACE’s well-established tools. In addition, dSPACE can use its technical know-how to provide extensive support for customers and assist them in the introduction and validation of the new features.
The main beneficiaries of the methods of the new AUTOSAR 4.3 standard are the developers of safety-critical driving functions, who are facing numerous challenges in ever shorter development cycles. These challenges include information authentication (SecOC), global time-stamping (GTS), and better verification of data integrity (E2E) in automotive bus networks such as CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, or automotive Ethernet. This is where many test tools reach their limits. Likewise, many test departments in the automotive industry struggle with know-how and test methods to properly implement the new features.
The dSPACE tool chain therefore supports its users throughout the entire development process, from single blocksets and tools for model-based development according to AUTOSAR 4.3 to turn-key HIL test systems for AUTOSAR 4.3-compliant ECUs. Furthermore, customers benefit directly from the broad expertise of dSPACE specialists. If desired, the specialists use their long-standing experience to accompany the customer projects, for example, to check and analyze network description files before they are used.
